Common Threads is a contemplative Catholic project in dialogue with the spiritual wisdom of humanity.
It does not collapse traditions; it reveals their shared structure and returns them to the center — communion in Christ.
Based on the book COMMON THREADS: A Search for Universal Truths by Author Jon Rasmussen. Jon has explored, studied deeply and practiced many of the worlds religions, spiritual traditions, deep psychology, sociology and the sciences. Raised Catholic and experiencing death at an early age, Jon chose to serve as a healer and a bridge across humanity and between the worlds as a trained and initiated Shaman primarily in the Q'ero tradition of the Andes of Peru. After 30 years of work with clients around the world across every belief system and from the homeless to world leaders in politics, business, the arts , other healers and everyone in-between, Jon has amassed a tremendous amount of experience at the deepest levels of the soul, mind, body and spirit. While Jon always maintained his connection to Catholicism and Christianity in general in his work and personal life, after four decades away from the Catholic Church, Jon gained a fuller understanding of the true reasons and importance of more deeply engaging in Catholic Mass and how it relates perfectly to the shamanic healing work and takes it severl very important steps further. The fruits of this deeper understanding and his desire to continue to serve as a bridge prompted Jon to write and article and publish a podcast about the journey, and create a web-based app that answers a person's deepest life questions and struggles and is Catholic-centered while sharing common references across traditions.
